The Core Team

Gulfstream LNG is founded by Vivek Chandra. Dr. Vivek Chandra is a highly regarded LNG expert and entrepreneur and serves as the CEO of Gulfstream LNG

He is the founder of Texas LNG, an LNG export facility in south Texas, USA that has successfully completed multiple funding rounds, received all its permits, has recently select customers and announced plans to begin its US$3+ billion construction program in 2024. He was CEO of the Texas LNG operating company from its inception in 2013 until 2022. He remains CEO of the Texas LNG equity holding company (Texas LNG LLC) but no longer has any active management role in the Texas LNG project.

He has 30+ years of international gas upstream, financial and project experience with ARCO, Schlumberger, Dubai Energy, Dolphin Energy UAE, and Nexus Energy Australia. His education achievements include degrees in Geophysical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines,  Petroleum Economics from IFP France, Energy Management from U. of Pennsylvania, Commercial law from Deakin University Australia, and a PhD in International law also from Deakin University Australia.

He is a published author (Fundamentals of Natural Gas: An International Perspective, (Pennwell, 1st edition 2006 and 2nd edition 2017) and The Law of the Sea and Maritime Boundary Disputes in Areas of Hydrocarbon Potential: A Review of Global Hotspots (published by Taylor and Francis Group, an Informa Business, 2023), manages a youtube channel with regular  commentary on natural gas topics, and a frequent speaker at global conferences.  Vivek Chandra can be contacted at vc@gulfstreamlng.com and his LinkedIn profile can be viewed at www.linkedin.com/in/vivekchandra-lng

The CTO of Gulfstream LNG is Ken Nasit. Mr. Ken Nasit has 30+ years of experience in Oil and Gas industry and his experience includes design, commissioning and operations side of multiple LNG Projects. His experience has spanned from small to very large-scale domestic & international LNG projects and natural gas pipelines. Mr. Nasit has worked with major EPC firms like KBR and CB&I on design sides of projects and with major operators like Qatar Energy on commissioning and operations side of several LNG projects.

Mr. Nasit is highly skilled with multiple simulations tools along with detail design deliverables (P&IDs, PFDs, HMBs, etc.) and also has FERC, PHMSA, MARAD technical support experience. Mr. Nasit has been involved in multiple technical bid evaluations, Risk Assessment (RA), RCA and HAZOP/SIL in addition to interfacing with EPCs and licensors. Mr. Nasit holds a B.S. Chemical Engineering from M.S. University, India and Master’s Degree in Project Management (Oil & Gas Specialization) from University of Liverpool, UK
