Benefiting Local Communities
Enabling Global Energy Transition
We are committed to collaborating with State and local communities to explore the following opportunities:
- Enhancing job skills training by collaborating with local educational institutions.
- Addressing community freshwater needs with our own requirements by coordinating with Plaquemines Parish and Port infrastructure expansion plans.
- Tackling current traffic and housing issues by partnering with local governments.
- Fulfilling our duties by contributing a fair share of local, state and Federal taxes.
- Demonstrating good corporate citizenship and earning the social license to operate.
As part of its FERC permitting requirements, Gulfstream LNG hosted its community Open House meetings on Monday July 22nd and Tuesday 23rd 2024 at the Belle Chasse Auditorium and Port Sulphur Community Center respectively. Representatives of both FERC and Gulfstream LNG were present hand to answer any questions. It was wonderful to see many members of the community, including community and business leaders, neighbors, and the general public attend the meetings to learn more about our project and our plans to integrate with the community.
